Becoming Form / Devenir Forme Notes vers le féminin

Curatorial Series Statement

“I have a body, but I am not my body.

I have emotions, but I am not my emotions.

I have thoughts, but I am not my thoughts.

I am a center of pure consciousness.”

Roberto Assagioli

After resilience comes something quieter - not triumph, but structural transformation.

Becoming Form: Notes Toward the Feminine traces the moment when the inherited definitions of womanhood begin to fail. These works examine what happens when identity is no longer held together by visibility, fertility, youth, or care.

Drawing from Jacqueline Schaeffer’s psychoanalytic model of subjectivation and Roberto Assagioli’s theory of sub-personalities and disidentification, this series documents the collapse of the old bond between the body and identity - and the unstable terrain that follows.

In this space, the figure fragments. Line falters. Form hesitates.

There is no narrative of liberation here. Only disassembly - as a condition for new meaning.

Femininity here is not biological, symbolic, or idealised.

It is under revision. Not reconstructed as image,

but re-formed as vibration.

Rhythm replaces outline. Pulse replaces performance.

What emerges is not a figure - but a field:

trembling, partial, alive.

Each work is a note. A frequency. A fragment of self in motion.
