Artist’s statement
Rooted in a micro-gesture practice, her work investigates how pressure and repetition translate intimacy across figure, color and scale, from small drawings to large, tactile surfaces where the body itself becomes both the subject and the instrument of tension, control and healing.

2025
- December: Ongoing development of a new body of work.
- Autumn–Summer: Initial exploration process through drawing; beginning of new long-term direction.
2022–2024
- A period dedicated to health and recovery following a brain tumor diagnosis.
2021
- December: Relocation to Italy.
- September: Invited to present a new body of drawings at “Lindenow” at Yacht Club Leutzsch, Leipzig. Sold two limited prints (“Wednesday Nights” and “Latex DNA”) to collectors in Germany and the US, and one drawing to a private collection in the Netherlands.
- Summer–Spring: Creation of a series of three prints titled “Ceremonial Opening,” selling two works to private collectors through an online auction.
- January: Rented first studio in Leipzig.
2020
- December–Summer: Continued artistic research into intimate works on paper as the foundation for future paintings.
- Spring: Created two portraits and one self-portrait reflecting an abusive relationship during lockdown. First oil paintings following an extended period of colored pencil works.
- January: Early interruption of the project “Studio on Wheels” due to the Covid-19 pandemic. Relocation from “Studio on Wheels” to Leipzig, Germany.
2019
- August: Sold “Paarung II” to a private collection in the Netherlands after a studio visit.
- May: Received a stipend from the Gemeente Enschede to support the artistic project “Studio on Wheels,” enabling work in rural areas across Europe.
- March: First presentation of works on paper in the solo exhibition “Color Tramp” at B93, Enschede, Netherlands. Sold “Bikerider” to a private collection in the Netherlands.
- January: Sold “Memories of Downhill” to a private collection in Portugal.
2018
- December: Invited to exhibit four figurative paintings at Galerie Bart, Amsterdam, as the only non-resident artist in the contemporary portrait show “Go Figure!”.
- August: Graduated from ArtEZ University of the Arts, Enschede, Netherlands.
- May: Sold “Er verstand, sie ist nicht so schön” in an online auction to a private collector in Germany.
2017
- Commissioned to create a first oil painting for a private collection.
- Participated in a group exhibition in Vilnius, Lithuania.
2015
- March: Presented the performative installation “Cutting My Own Legs” at the Time Conference in Copenhagen, Denmark. First research from multimedia shifted toward works on paper and canvas.
2014
- Accepted into ArtEZ University of the Arts, Enschede, after presenting multimedia artworks, photography, and an art film.
2013
- Declined admission at two design universities in Germany after presenting a portfolio of drawings and photography.
