Artwork details
"Early this morning, I took Awa to a deserted beach by the sea. By the grace of a pure nature where nothing can be altered, the ingénue stripped herself before my eyes during the midsummer. Awa arrived on tiptoe in the hot sand. Arrived at the place where she wants to settle, she spreads her dress and crouches carefully. Gently, her white panties touch the warmth of the sand. She carries her shadow slowly. Then her buttocks sink into it. So she begins to untie the top of her bikini... It is noon, it’s the hour of the tide. She stands seated on the foreshore, in the middle of the tidal zone. The sun’s rays fall straight on her shoulders." In this oil-realistic work, I sought to capture the ephemeral essence of natural and human beauty. Sitting on the sand, the central figure subtly touches the viewer by his gaze turned towards us, evoking feelings of nostalgia and intimate connection with nature.
